2019 New Teacher Breakfasts
The first part of August was very busy for Caspers Company as we traveled throughout our communities in Tampa Bay sponsoring New Teacher Breakfasts. We either were a supporting or main sponsor for the events in Temple Terrace, Brandon at EPIC 3, Seffner, South Tampa, and North Tampa/Carrollwood.
Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce welcomed over 225 new teachers and staff with words of encouragement, wisdom and just plain common sense advice from the Hillsborough County Superintendent of Schools Jeff Eakins, the 2020 Florida Teacher of the Year Dr. Dakeyan Chá Dré Graham, and Mayor Mel Jurado at the Temple Terrace breakfast which was hosted by TPepin’s Hospitality Centre. As we were the main sponsor, Caspers Company’s Community Relations Manager Dustin Portillo and Vice-President Community Relations Bob Conigiliaro were also asked to speak. They did an outstanding job of showing appreciation for the teachers and their dedication to our children as well as emphasizing the importance of their profession. They also reiterated our company’s commitment to supporting education in our community.

One of our own Seffner McDonald’s employees, Journey Perkins, graduated with her high school diploma from the Brandon EPIC location in June and was promoted to shift manager in July. She was presented with the Prism Award and as the first student to successfully complete this program, it is now known as the “Journey to Success” program.

At Gaither High School, we provided breakfast for 200 new teachers and existing staff. VP, Community Relations Bob Conigliaro spoke and welcomed all the new and returning staff for the school year praising them for their dedication and impact on our youth.
And Seffner’s New Teacher Breakfast was hosted at Burnett Middle School with Caspers Company as the title sponsor providing the food. VP, Community Relations Bob Conigliaro and Community Relations Manager Dustin Portillo both spoke to welcome the new teachers, and our Seffner McDonald’s team cooked & served the breakfast to everyone, led by Jamie and Journey, pictured below.
