General Manager Steven Freier and his team at our Eiland McDonald’s #35680 in Wesley Chapel hosted the HOPE Services Summer Youth Program several times this summer providing meals and giving tours. This community partnership between the Caspers Eiland restaurant and HOPE Services allowed the youth with disabilities to try out different crew positions. This was valuable to the group as the HOPE Services organization coaches and coordinates employment opportunities and experiences for the participants. They also help with public transportation as well as provide support, education, guidance and social integration for them. Some of the current participants have even asked to apply for a job at our McDonald’s restaurants in Pasco County.
HOPE Services contributes to today’s diverse and growing business community by bringing together two key groups. First, people with disabilities are an overlooked and underused talent pool who are available, flexible, and motivated. Second, employers are continually seeking workers who are loyal, dependable, and productive.
HOPE Services Employment Specialist Kevin Perrine sent the following thank you letter to the Eiland McDonald’s for their participation in the program:
Thank you so very much Ms. Shakira!!! And thanks again Mr. Steven and your entire staff with the Caspers Company!!
HOPE Services’ 2018 Summer Youth Program for employment services has been such a wonderful experience with community leaders like your team. For a truly wonderful experience as you and your staff welcomed our students and staff with open arms.
Our goal for the HOPE Services’ Summer Youth Program was empowering students with disabilities for their job search and employment outcome possibilities. The students were over the moon (and arches) with excitement!
Please let all your staff know that you each shared a bright ray of sunshine for the community this afternoon.
Attached you will see many happy faces! Our entire staff, teachers and job coaches at HOPE Services thanks you!
Take a look at all the great photos from their summer visits to our Eiland McDonald’s. Caspers Company encourages our restaurant teams’ participation in their communities because Caspers Cares!
