Before I worked at McDonald’s® I was a nanny for a year. In 2011 I was hired as crew at store #1265 in Brandon by then General Manager Marc Dortch who is now an area supervisor. Human Resource Manager Zakee Bailey promoted me to shift manager in 2014 when he was a general manager at store #1265. Shortly after that, I was transferred to store #35651 in Pavilion and promoted to guest service department manager by then General Manager Blake Lucy, who is also now an area supervisor for our Jacksonville stores. The next year I was transferred to store #5811 in Seffner to run the kitchen department. From 2015 to 2018 I worked at store #13754 on Lumsden running the guest service department and then the people department, completing my RDM training. In the second quarter of 2018 I was promoted to general manager of store #33229 at Van Dyke in North Tampa.
I was born in Belgium in December 1991 on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. At six weeks old, I moved to London, England where my only brother was born. He took after my dad and joined the Air Force as a military policeman. We moved to Brandon, Florida in 1995. I grew up in Brandon joining the Girl Scouts until I was 18 years old. I also was member of the Army ROTC at Brandon High School and moved up to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and Battalion Executive Officer. I graduated high school in 2010 with a 5.0 weighted GPA ranked 39 in a class of 500. Even though I was accepted to University of South Florida and the University of West Florida, I decided not to go college.
Now I am 26 years old, and I recently had a baby girl named Lilyanna with my fiancé Eric. We actually met at McDonald’s working overnight and have been together for seven years. I’ve actually seen more action working at McDonald’s than my brother has as a military policeman in the military. I love it! It keeps life interesting!
