In March of 2017, I was hired as a crew person at the Seffner location. Exactly one year later, I was promoted to shift manager and was given the responsibility of supporting the people department. I would pull applications for possible new hires and also attend the Brandon hub orientation when needed.
Over time, my General Manager Zuelem Santiago noticed how much I enjoyed hub and started sending me more often where I continued to learn all the orientation duties as an assistant. Two days a week I am at hub, and I still work at least one day a week at Seffner store #5811.
Currently, I am attending Hillsborough Community College full time and plan to transfer to University of South Florida to finish my degree in business management. When I am not working hard or attending class, I enjoy helping my mom with her business, LeAnne’s Old Fashioned Cookies. I am also an active member at First Baptist Church in Brandon where I participate in the orchestra and lead the college and young pros group.
A little known fact about me is that I can play six different instruments, but I primarily play the flute and piano. I’ve been in the Richey Concert Band for thirteen years now and still hold the record for the youngest member to join at the age of six.
I absolutely love this company, and especially the people. No matter who you are or where you come from, there is always a place for you. I am ecstatic about this new opportunity and cannot wait to see what other new opportunities await.
