By Area Supervisor Cathy Bracey
This was our second year to participate in the CABA Taste of Carrollwood event, and this year it was held at Raymond James Stadium. It’s a family fun focused event sponsored by CABA which is similar to a Chamber of Commerce. They offer free food samples from hundreds of area restaurant vendors, music, scavenger hunts, raffles, face painting, balloon twisting, sports themed activities for the kids and even exploring the Bucs Pirate Ship!
Area Supervisors Yesy Cruz’s and Cathy Bracey’s two wonderful teams of stores dedicated their time and resources to make this event special. Stores #4801, # 701, # 4143, # 11242, # 38610, # 10924 lent lots of hands to provide a taste of McDonald’s to Carrollwood. Caspers Company supplied hundreds of apple slices, chocolate chip cookies, yogurt parfaits, and baked apple pies. The members of community even got to take home a special Happy Meal toy for their little ones to enjoy. The people of Carrollwood loved the treats so much that we handed out a coupon to those who stopped by so they can experience it again. Several people had fun with our McDonald’s characters Hamburglar and Mac Tonight too.
Each year this event continues to grow in size, with more members of the community taking a part in the festivities. But oh man, did CABA take us by storm this year! There was such a great turnout from the community that within only one hour after opening the doors, we ran out of food and toys. Thankfully, we have a great Caspers McFamily that we were able to call on for some extra help to replenish our supply. The event was such a great success and a wonderful opportunity to meet those in our North Tampa neighborhood. Our teams cannot wait to participate again next year!
Below you will find your stores involvement with Taste of Carrollwood on March 31. This is a newer event and last year we had a great presence. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your area sup., Lisa, or myself.
